Action group financial

The Action group financial international against the money laundering (GAFI) or Financial Action Task force one Money Laundering ( FATF ) is a intergovernmental Organisme of fight against the Money laundering.

It was created by the G7 at the time of the top of the Arch to Paris in 1989, in answer to increasing concerns with the international level concerning the fight against the bleaching of capital. It is a gathering action group of the representatives of the Member States of G-7, the European commission and seven other countries. It does not have a final structure. Until there any international organization was not installation in order to create a co-operation to fight against the Blanchiment of capital.

The GAFI is an organization distinct from OECD, indeed all the Member States of OECD are not members of the GAFI, and reciprocally. The secretariat of the GAFI is composed of ten people and is located at the head office of OECD with Paris.

The GAFI aims at creating Norme S nonimperative, which are to some extent policies that the governments must follow in order to promote the fight against the Blanchiment of capital. These standards are gathered in the form of 40 recommendations.

Following the Attacks of September 11th, 2001, the GAFI put forth the 9 special recommendations, complementary to the 40 recommendations, the purpose of which are to prevent and fight against the financing of the Terrorisme. The GAFI set up a list of Country or territories nonco-operative (PTNC) which count the countries which do not show enough of advanced on the level the fight anti-bleaching and fight against the financing terrorism. This list is brought up to date and today more no state appears there, Myanmar having been withdrawn thanks to its efforts.
