A account is a Narration presenting real or imaginary events told to the writing or the oral examination.
This style Littéraire can also be called a Dit (for example the Known as one of Genji in 980, or more recently the Known as one of the cymbalaire in 2005).
Within a traditional Play, it can be also a narration detailed by a character, of event S not represented on scene but essential to the unfolding of the drama.

In an account, the portrait has three essential functions. It allows:
- to characterize the character,
- to give to the reader the possibility Of representing physically the person,
- to prepare and make admit the Attitude S and the Action S of the character in the history.
To make a Description, the author uses an expansion of the name.
