Academy of agriculture of France
The academy of agriculture of France is a association according to the law of 1901 which has the role of contributing, in the fields scientist, technique, economic, legal, social and cultural with the evolution of the Agriculture and the rural world. Heiress of the company of agriculture of the General information of Paris, founded in 1761 by Louis XV, it functions under her current form since a decree of 1878 by which it was in particular recognized of Public utility. She counts 120 regular members and 180 French correspondents, like 60 foreign members. The office of the Academy, which is its executive body, counts six members, of which the president elected for one year and the perpetual secretary elected by his pars and named by Presidential decree of the republic.
The academy of agriculture allots each year of the prices and Médaille S to reward for work contributing to the advance of knowledge in the field of agriculture.
Its seat is with Paris in a private mansion located at 18 rue de Bellechasse in the 17th district. The meetings take place every Wednesday afternoon and are public to with it.
