Academy chablaisienne

The Académie Chablaisienne is a Savoyard learned society of the province of the Chablais, in Haute-Savoie, whose seat is with Thonon-the-Baths. It was founded in 1886.

Foundation

The Chablaisienne Academy is founded in 1886. Among the founding members: Charles Buet (journalist, historian and novelist) and the count Amédée de Foras.

Member of the Union of the Learned societies of Savoy (founded in 1970).

The seat of the Academy chablaisienne is in the old Monastery of the Sainte-Marie Visitation to Thonon-the-Baths.
