Acétazolamide

The acétazolamide is an inhibiter of the carbonic Anhydrase used to treat the Glaucome, the crises of epilepsy, the benign intracranial Hypertension and the Mal the heights. For the patients reached of glaucome, the drug decreases the formation of liquids around the eye what lowers the intraocular pressure. The acétazolamide requires a medical Ordonnance.

Its formula is: C 4 H 6 NR 4 O 3 S 2.

Its chemical name is: acétylamino-2 thiadiazol-1, 3,4 sulfamido-5.

The acétazolamide is used in the event of Glaucome and of epilepsy. It is also a Diurétique.
