Abû Sufyân ibn Al-Harîth (أَبُوسُفيَانَبنالحارث sufyān Ben Al-ḥāriθ) was born towards 571 like his/her first cousin and foster brother Mahomet the future prophet from the Islam.

During childhood Abû Sufyân and Mahomet were friends. One could believe that did of Abû Sufyân one of the first converts, it of it was not nothing and on the contrary Abû Sufyân was one from longest to convert with Islam.

Abû Sufyân was as skilful to handle the sword as the language. He wrote satirical poems making fun of the prophet. All its family converts except him. In 630, eight years after the hégire, Abû Sufyân became anxious for its future: the Moslems were increasingly numerous and it did not know where to go if the Moslems took Mecque. It then solved to convert with Islam.

Little before the battle Hunayn, Abû Sufyân was introduced into the camp of the Moslems with Médine and made allegiance with Mahomet. During the battle, Abû Sufyân was at the sides of Mahomet and protected it from the adversaries.

One Mahomet day was with his wife Aïcha in front of the mosque. It his wife “Know you asked that which enters the mosque? ” She answered not. He says: “It is my cousin Abû Sufyân ibn Al-Harîth, it is always him it first to enter to the mosque and the last to be left there and its eyes remain dropped during all this time”.
