Abdullah Ibn Yassin
Abdullah Ibn Yassin is the founder and the spiritual leader of the dynasty of the Almoravides, towards 1050. It was simple studying Islamic religion with the Morocco which made the decision to move in the Sahara to teach Islam with its inhabitants. It stuck by persuasion several Berber tribes, founded a ribate (kind of religious association) in the island Mauritanian of Tidra, extended its domination by the jihad and reigned on an immense part of the large Sahara (all the Mauritania, the Senegal, the center and the south of the Morocco, is Algérie). He died towards 1059 as a combatant against the emirate heretic of Barghwata and was buried has Oued Krifla a commune of the Moroccan province of Khemisset.
