Aaron Broten

Aaron Broten (born the November 14th 1960 with Reed city of the Minnesota with the the United States) is a former professional player of Hockey. It has two brothers Neal and Paul which also played hockey professionally.

Career in club

It makes speak about him for the first time at the time of the championship junior of 1978 by registering seven points in five matches for the the United States.

It begins its career in the university championship (NCAA) while playing for the team of the Université of Minnesota, the Minnesota Golden Gopher in 1979. At the end of the season, it takes part in the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey and the Rockies of Colorado choose it at the time of the sixth round (106e choice). The following year, it is the best pointer, striker and frontier runner of its division, the Western Collegiate Hockey Association . Its efforts are rewarded by a selection on the standard team for the conference like by a participation in the championship for the world 1981.

For the season 1981-82, it starts in the central Ligue of hockey with the Texans of Fort Worth but finishes the season in the LNH with Rockies. He plays an about sixty matches and mark forty points. Thereafter, it follows Rockies which moves and becomes the Devils of the New Jersey. In January 1990, it turns over to play in its native state while being exchanged in return of Bob Brooke of the North Stars of Minnesota. It leaves the frankness from Devils while being the fifth pointer of its history

It unfortunately is left free at the end of the season and is joined the Nordiques of Quebec. The adventure does not occur well and at the time of its two last seasons, he plays for the Scandinavian ones then for the Maple Leafs of Toronto, the Hawks de Moncton (LAH) and finally the Jets of Winnipeg. He takes his retirement in 1992.

It represents the the United States at the time of the Championnat of the world junior 1978, then at the time of the championships of the world 1981, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1999. He also plays at the time of the editions of the Coupe Canada of 1984 and 1987.
