A girl for the summer
a girl for the summer is a French comedy, carried out by Edouard Molinaro in 1960.
Synopsis
Like each year, Philippe, young disillusioned painter and brilliance guest, is invited by Paule to spend his holidays in his luxurious villa on Coast-in Azur. A friendly barman proposes to him in Saint-Tropez a girl to spend the summer agreeably. He prefers Monette to him, met by chance in this bar. Monette is dazzled by all this luxury, this easy life, and sticks to Philippe. Michel, the son of Paule, is nauseated of this hollow existence and without ideal; he has just engaged in the Zionism. His/her mother hopes that Monette will be able to retain it. This one, one moment charmed by the freshness of Monette, seems to hesitate; but she, in spite of her attraction for the young man, prefers Philippe, her boorishness and her cynicism full with prestige to him. Michel left. Philippe will regain Paris. A last exit at sea, where Monette still faces with intoxication the laws of balance, and Philippe will only return, with the stroke…
