APIPA
APIPA ( has utomatic P rivate I nternet P rotocol has ddressing) is a service network used by Windows. This service makes it possible Windows automatically to allot a Adresse IP, without requiring this address of a waiter DHCP.
APIPA uses 169.254.0.0 /16 as beach of address IP.
The user of the machine or the administrator of the system can modify this Adresse IP manually, or configure the system to use a waiter ''' DHCP '''.
In certain situations, it is preferable to decontaminate APIPA in order to prevent the automatic attribution of an IP address by the system (in fact to avoid letting think that a waiter DHCP answered when this last is in fact stopped and that several machines were placed in the same beach of addresses).
To decontaminate APIPA, it is enough to modify the Registre as follows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Tcpip \ Parameters \ Interfaces \
IPAutoconfigurationEnabled = 0 (Type REG_DWORD)
