A1 Grand Prix Season 2005-2006
The season 2005-2006 of the A1 Grand Prix , first edition of A1 GP, was held of the September 25th 2005 with the April 2nd 2006, and opposed 25 nations.
The championship was clearly dominated by the team of France, represented alternatively by the pilots Alexandre Prémat and Nicolas Lapierre at the wheel of single-seaters prepared by the stable PREJUDICES.

Notes:
- Enrico Toccacelo (Italy) controlled the car of Pakistan with Durban following the wound of Adam Langley-Khan. However, in the event of arrival of Toccacelo in the 10 first, the team of Pakistan would not have registered points.
- Although holder of American nationality, Graham Rahal could defend the colors of the team of Lebanon taking into account his family origins.
Races of the season 2005-2006
Each meeting is composed of two disputed races the same day (generally Sunday): the race " sprint" the morning a length of approximately 50 kilometers, and the race " principale" the afternoon, a length of approximately 180 kilometers.
The two races give place to an identical attribution of the points: the 10 first register points: 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. The author of the best turn in race on the whole of the weekend marks a point.
Let us note that the points are granted not to the pilots but to the teams of which they defend the colors.
Modification of the calendar: the sleeve of January 15th, 2006 with Sentul (Indonesia) was deferred following the death of Maktoum Ben Rached Al-Maktoum Emir de Dubaï and uncle of Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, the founder of a1GP.
