- the Berbère Sanhadja Bologhine ibn Ziri receives Fatimides the government of the Ifriqiya and founds the dynasty of the Zirides (fine in 1060) with Kairouan like capital.
- Bologhine ibn Ziri carries out several forwardings against the enemy Berbères Zenata of the Sanhadja. It successfully fights the influence of the caliphate sunnite of Cordoue which tries to annex the septentrional Morocco.
