Worsen Byzantine
- January 29th: Beginning of the reign of Boris II, king of the Bulgarian (fine in 972)
- Nicéphore II reconquers the Cilicie and Cyprus, pushing until in Syria (taken Antioche). He is assassinated by the lover of his wife Théophano, Jean Tzimiskès. This last banishes it and marries Théodora, girl of Constantin VII.
