  • September 14th: Beginning of the reign of Alphonse II the Pure one (759 - 842), king of the Asturies (fine in 835).

    • Alphonse II establishes his court with Oviedo. It roughcasts the border zones of fortresses held by counts (Castille). It badgers the Moslems by raids of which one goes until Lisbon (797).
    • Alphonse II builds churches and palate with Oviedo. It is released from the influence of the wisigothic Church and creates the évêchés new ones.

  • Beginning of the reign of Idris II, king of the Morocco (fine in 828).
    • Idris Ier, which tried to go independent to Morocco, is poisoned by an emissary of the caliph Harun rear-Rachid. His/her son Moulay Idris II succeeds to him at the eighteen years age and restores his authority on the septentrional Morocco. He installs his capital with Fès.

  • With the Japan, the general Sakanoue No Tamuramaro (758 - 811) carries out a war in the territories of the North-West of the principal island where remains an antiquated company living as at the time of the Jômon.

  • Khalid Ibn Ahmed, grammairien of Basra, author of a treaty of grammar and first Arab dictionary. Its disciple Sîbawayh (death towards 795) written the Book, which will be the model of all the posterior grammar books.
