- Charlemagne must defer its voyage to Rome where the pope must baptize his Carloman son of the name of Pépin.
- Forwarding of Charlemagne in Spain of North to the call of the Moslem governor of Barcelona, Sulayman Ben Yaqzan ibn Al-Arabi, revolted against the emir of Cordoue (778 - 782).
