Events

  • Died with Chalcédoine of Maurice I {{er}}, Roman Emperor of the East of 582 with 602, son-in-law and successor of Tibère II, which put an end to the war against the Perses and helped Khosrô II to reconquer its throne (591). He fought also successfully against the Lombards, the Avars and the Slaves, but was reversed by a rebellion military and put at died with his family.
  • Beginning of the reign of Phokas (Phocas), Byzantine Emperor (fine in 610).
