- Scandinavia: The lay one of Beowulf tells that the nephew of the king of Gètes (Gaetas), Beowulf, would have accompanied his uncle Hygelac during a forwarding against the Francs by Thierry I {{er}} of Austrasie in Plank. Hygelac loses the life, saving by its heroic control the remainder of the troop. Beowulf becomes with the return regent of the kingdom before the majority of his nephews and reigns finally for his own account. This episode is confirmed by the History of the Francs of Gregoire de Tours.
