The Electronic 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of , Data-processing and Radiocommunications of Bordeaux (ENSEIRB) is a school forming of the Engineer S in the field of information the Technologies and the communication. It is about a vast sector which includes electronics, data processing, the Automatique, the Treatment of the signal, the Réseaux and the Télécommunications. This sector relates to at the same time research, industry and the services. It overflows largely of the companies of the field to relate to most of industry since very undertaken has a data-processing network today and integrates much electronics into its products (car, aeronautics…).

History

Created in the Years 1920, the school is called then the École of Radio telegraphy of Bordeaux (ERB). It trains engineers in Radioélectricité who are also radio operator operators.
In 1936, the ERB becomes the École of Radioelectricity of Bordeaux . In 1940, it is called École of the Modern Applications of the Radioelectricity of Bordeaux to become again ERB in 1945.
In 1965, it becomes the University of Electronics and Radioelectricity of Bordeaux (ESERB) before becoming a 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of engineers and re-electing 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of Electronics and Radioelectricity of Bordeaux (ENSERB) in 1975.
In 1986, a data-processing die is created.
In September 2000, a die telecommunications is in its turn created. The ENSERB then becomes the ENSEIRB 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of Electronics, Data processing and Radiocommunications of Bordeaux .

Departments and formations

Electronic department

The objective of the Électronique speciality is to train electronics engineers general practitioners high level, able to control the electronic modules as well as the systems in their material and software dimension.

Data-processing department

The training of computer engineers covers all the fields, as well in its theoretical and fundamental aspects as in an effective practical application on computers.

Department Telecommunications

This speciality trains integrating engineers of systems of telecommunications (design and development of the material equipment and software for telecommunications and the networks, control systems adapted to telecommunications and with the networks, controls architectures and applications distributed).

Formation by alternation: die ITII

The formation ITII is a training of engineer under contract of Apprentissage. This formation is opened with titular high-level techniciens of a HAD or of a BTS.

Mastère specialized in Management of the Information systems and the Organizations

This Mastère, proposed jointly with Bordeaux School of Management form of the " architectes" able to control acquisition, the treatment and the information flow.

5 rooms intended for the electronic CAD equipped with 50 graphic stations color;
5 rooms of terminals X and 4 rooms of stations for the data-processing TP;
5 rooms of microcomputers;
350 stations data-processing in self-service, is 1 per 2 pupils;
1 center of resource electromagnetic Compatibility (CEM) equipped with a anechoic Room;
2 language laboratories and 1 library and video library of languages;
1 multi-media room with reception of foreign chains per satellite;
1 information center (= 2000 recent titles and more than 50 technical and economic reviews).

The ENSEIRB and research

To develop its mission of research, the ENSEIRB has two laboratories which it divides with the Université Bordeaux 1:

IMS: Laboratory of the Integration of Material to the System. Laboratory IMS was created in January 2007 by the recasting of old laboratories IXL, LAPSE and PIOM;
the LaBRI: Laboratory Of Bordeaux of Research in Data processing;

These laboratories are Mixed Unités of Research of CNRS.

Junior-company

Aquitaine Electronique Data-processing (AEI) is the Junior-Company of the ENSEIRB. Taking as a starting point the operation of a traditional company, the mission of AEI is of professionnaliser the students through the realization of studies sold with the companies customer.

The spheres of activities of the studies are those taught with the ENSEIRB with knowing data-processing, electronic and telecommunications.

Associations of pupils

the office of pupils (BDE): the association of the pupils of the ENSEIRB, it manages the majority of the events of the school and the clubs.
the office of the sports (BDS): the sports association of the ENSEIRB, which organizes tournaments inter-promotion and which deals with the sporting material.
NSE: North-South Ecoles is the humanitarian association of the pupils of the ENSEIRB, it has like pricipal objective to improve the access and the conditions of education in the countries in the process of development.
EIRBO (TECH) T: this team of robotics, lately resulting from the partnership between association Eirbot (of the ENSEIRB) and the club of robotics of the ENSAM, deals with the construction of an autonomous robot with an aim of taking part in the Coupe de France of robotics.

association Tournament Inter-ENSI Bordeaux (TIE Bordeaux): the purpose of this association is to manage the organization of the Tournoi Inter ENSI when it takes place in Bordeaux as in 1989, 1994, 2000 and 2006, but also to manage the inscriptions with the tournament when it is organized by another school.
