38th Parallel
38th Parallel is a group of Rock and Hip hop Chrétien originating in Ames, in the Iowa. The group in the open air played in the Iowa in large grounds at the sides of the artists of Contemporary Christian Musique. Although unknown by these artists, the group took part in a casting for the label Word Records. The group rejected the offer of contract aiming at the principal market to sign with Squint Entertainment.
The name of the group refers to the 38e parallel north which separates the North Korea and the South Korea. Their preimer album entitled Turn the Tides left in 2002. Most famous of their songs is " Horizon".
After the dismemberment of the group, the singer Nate Rippke formed a group of Rock called Sons off Republic. The guitarist Jason Munday and the beater Aaron Nordyke formed the electronic group of of Harry Potter called Ministry off Magic.
The group 38th Parallel also reformed in 2005 and published their second album independently. August 26th, 2006, the singer Mark Jennings announced on the blog Myspace group which it is not very probable that 38th Parallel kind a third album. The decision is due to the personal priorities of the members of the group such as the marriage.
