- Constantin passes in Italy to the beginning of the year. It is victorious of Maxence successively to Turin and Vérone.
- October 28th: The warriors of Constantin I {{er}}, under the sign of the Christ, beat the anti-emperor Maxence, with the Bataille of the bridge Milvius.
- With the Bridge Milvius, Constantin would have placed a Chrisme, binding of the first two Greek letters of Christ on the shield of its soldiers; this badge would have been revealed to him in a miraculous vision “ In hoc signo vinces ”. It converts with Christianity.
- Constantin reign on the entire Occident. It resides in Gaulle at Vienna and Arles (312 - 314).

Religion
- Council of Carthage which works out the future doctrines donatist. Donat, bishop of Casae Nigrae (Numidie), preaches a rigorous use of the sacraments, and raises the small farmers Berbères against the Roman colonists. Its doctrines will be condemned by the council of Arles in 314.
