Events
- Fine of the first war of the Goths: the emperor Claude II, known as the Gothic beats the Goths with the Bataille of Naissus (or 268).
- Powerful pushed Germanic people on the Balkans: Goths, Gépides, Hérules, Bastarnes. The Goths cross the Dniestr then the the Danube, invade the Greece, plunder Athens, Corinthe and Sparte then besieges Thessalonique. Claude II walk against them. They give up the seat of the city. Aurélien receives the command as a chief of the Roman cavalry. Placed on the left blank of the Goths, it them pack in the area of Doberos in Pélagonie and kills 3000 men to them. Claude II gains a decisive victory against them with Naissus (Niš) in Serbia. Aurélien continues them, making them undergo heavy losses. It closes to them the way of the Macedonia and rejects them into Haemus.
- Claude II makes strengthen Nicée.
- In Gaulle, rebellion of Laelianus against Postumus. Laelianus is overcome, but Postumus is killed by its troops with which it had refused the bag of Mainz, city where the rebels had withdrawn themselves. It is replaced by Marius, another usurper who reigns a few weeks before being assassinated. Victorinus, indicated by Postumus seizes the power then (fine in 271). It loses the control of the Spain and the Lyons Gaulle which join with Claude II.
