- January 5th: Alexandre Millerand is excluded from the socialist party.
- March 28th: Suppression of teaching congregatist.
- April 8th: Franco-English Harmony. Anglo-French convention concerning the Morocco and the Egypt (Delcassé).
- April 18th: With Paris, publication of the first number of Humanity , under the direction of Jean Jaurès.
- April 23rd: Visit of the president Emile Loubet with Rome. The Vatican protests because of the policy anticlerical of the French government.
- May 23rd: Creation with Paris of FIFA (International federation of football).
- July 5th: Law prohibiting teaching with the religious congregations.
- July 30th: The France breaks its diplomatic relations with the the Vatican and points out its ambassador. (In the beginning the French law of separation of the Church and the State scalded the Vatican. Then Emile Combes, President of the Council of Ministers, claims to want to name the French bishops, without requesting the Vatican. Later, the Pope Pie X refuses to receive the president Emile Loubet. Lastly, the Vatican points out 2 French bishops " républicains" , for a maintenance without informing France of it.)
- September: early Grape harvest in the North of France of 1904 with 1906.
- October 28th: Beginning of the Business of the cards. The Minister for the war Louis-Joseph André draws up cards on the officers having religious practices and the fact of studying by the Freemasons. Le Figaro reveals the business and the minister is constrained to resign.
