1787 in France - 1788 - 1789 in France

• soft Winter. Fresh spring. Scalding of corns in May - June. Catastrophic harvest. A storm of hail devastates all the cereal campaigns between the Loire and the Rhine the July 13rd. The dryness prevails in the southernmost areas. Early grape harvest.

• February 19th: Creation of the Company of the friends of the Blacks by Brissot, for the abolition of slavery.
• May 3rd: The Parlement of Paris, which feels threatened of suppression by the government, takes the initiative and by a stop which exposes the fundamental laws of monarchy and fact of the intermediate bodies related to the company of order the essential character of the monarchical constitution.

• September 21st: The Parlement of Paris claims the procedures of 1614 to the General states.

• December 27th: Doubly Third state. The third state will have as many deputies as the two others together (Noblesse and Clergé).
