March 27th: The German bankers Welser obtain Charles Quint a concession on the Venezuela.
- May: Arrival of the Cortes to Palos (Spain). It meets Charles Quint with Tolède and succeeds in being justified. In July, the Cortes is named marquis of the valley of Oaxaca and admiral of the South Sea with mission of proceeding to discoveries.
- December 9th: Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán is named president of the first Audiencia of News-Spain.
- Pánfilo de Narváez and Cabeza de Vaca leaves to found a colony in South Carolina. They skirt the coast of the Mexico, reach the Florida in April but make shipwreck (1529).
