The Middle East

  • February: The Venetian fleet makes the blockade of Tyr by sea while the franque army besieges the city again. The city misses drinking water quickly. Tyriens, not awaiting anything the Egyptians, their usual guards, turn to Balak of Alep, then besieging the fortress of Manbij, where one of its vassal entered in rebellion.

  • May 6th: Balak decides at once to intervene, but making the last turn of inspection before its departure, it is killed by an arrow left the ramparts of the citadel.
  • July 7th: Tyr goes to the Francs. Its population is saved.
