- Kilitch-Arslan having invited to a banquet his/her father-in-law Zachas, emir of Smyrna, stabs it seems it of its own hand. It probably acts on the initiative of the emperor Alexis Ier Comnène. The son of Zachas succeeds to him until in 1097.
