.za is the national Domaine of first level (country code signal level domain: ccTLD ) allotted to the South Africa. It is managed by the ZADNA.

It is interesting to note that ZA comes from initial from the country in Dutch, that is to say Zuid-Afrika . However, Dutch is not any more official language since 1925, year of his replacement by the Afrikaans. In Afrikaans, the country is named Suid-Afrika , thus comprising initial SA as in English ( South Africa ). However, the code .sa was allotted to the Saudi Arabia, and .za became the code of South Africa.
