.org is a generic name of Domaine of first level for the org anisations with noncommercial, but open goal without restrictions.

.org belongs to the first TLD created in January 1985 to be used by the organizations which were not appropriate for the other TLD. No matter who can enregister a .org, however it is often used by the ONG, associations and the individuals, although there exist alternatives like .info and .name.

The TLD .org is managed since the first January 2003 by Public Interest Registry.
