Origin

The hiragana か and the katakana カ come, via the Man' yōgana, of the Kanji 加.

Diacritic

According to the systems of romanisation Hepburn, Kunrei and Nihon, か and カ romanisent themselves in “ka” and が and ガ in “ga”.

Layout

The hiragana か is written in three features:
