Π (film)
π or pi is an American film of Darren Aronofsky, thriller psychological left in 1998. The title refers to the constant mathematics π (pi).
Synopsis
Max (Maximillian) Cohen is a young exceptionally gifted mathematician who believes that the Mathématiques are the language of nature. He seeks everywhere foreseeable sequences of figures, in particular in the analysis of the values of the Bourse. Living alone in its apartment, it analyzes the continuation of the decimals of the number π. With this intention, it uses a Ordinateur which it itself manufactured and which occupies most of its apartment.
Several people are interested of close with its research: its former reader (, having given up the idea to him to find a sequence among the decimals of π), a woman of Wall Street having access to a very powerful computer material and a group of Juifs who think that the Torah, when one represents it with numbers in the place of the letters, contains the true name of God.
